What made you join Watkins:

I started my Watkins business because of some of my childhood memories. I remember the smell of the vanilla, the medicated ointment, the spices and so many more of the wonderful Watkins products that my mom used in our home. My mom swore by them and so do I. So when I had a chance to start my Watkins business I jumped on it. Now I can say I help other families create terrific memories too with Watkins products.

 

What do you enjoy most about working with Watkins:

I mostly enjoy hearing from my customers how much they love the products. It is great to hear how much they enjoy using that new spice or new lotion. Seeing them excited and happy makes me feel good.
 
How do you balance family and your business:
Knowing how much time is needed for both, I believe is the key. Plus I do both at the same time, such as going to a family gathering, I bring a new recipe made with Watkins products for them to try. Another thing is if I am going for a walk with the family, I take a few catalogs or flyer to post and hand out. Balancing both takes creativity!

 

If you could offer one piece of advice to those new in the business what would it be:

My one piece of advice that I always offer is: DO WHAT YOU LOVE! If you don't like candles don't choose a business where you sells candles. Same as if you don't wear make up don't start a make up business. Your business has to be something that you will use and be excited about.

 

If you knew then what you know today would you do anything different? 

I would of started my Watkins business sooner!
